Park City is a ski town at heart, but it is also a burgeoning culture center, thanks to its thriving arts scene and year-round calendar of festivals. Stroll around Park City's Historic Main Street, and you'll find a number of fine art galleries, studios and hip music venues. Each January, the Sundance Film Festival screens cutting-edge indie films and sees the streets fill up with Hollywood celebrities and aspiring amateurs. Summertime brings a variety of free outdoor concerts series and the Park City Art Festival. The popular Fidelity Investments Park City International Jazz Festival, has featured headliners like Ray Charles and Natalie Cole, and draws thousands of jazz aficionados. Now in it's 4th year, the Park City Food and Wine Classic will return in July. Even during non-festival weeks, music and theatre buffs can take in an array of live concerts and shows at the Historic Egyptian Theater and the Eccles Performing Arts Center. Sports fans enjoy a wide assortment of year-round competitions and exhibitions, from dirt-bike racing to alpine ski tournaments.
